Ode to Makanga - a bushpilots dream

FWMK - Makanga airfield in the middle of the Liwonde Nationalpark right at the Shire river...
... a bushpilots dream!

Hello again - here is a update about whats going on in Malawi and with Nyassa.

Was at Makanga recently - probably the last flight for the season. Main season is over and the rainy season has begun so that the runway will be unusable soon.
Enjoy the pictures and join celebrating Makanga as the bushpilots dream landing strip of 2009.

FWMK - breathtaking approach over the river, crocs, hippos and some palm tree's -
- soft touchdown on the sand and some impalas to say welcome!
Muli bwanji sweet Makanga.

Cheers, Michael
